New book, new raffle!

Enter to win a copy of my new book, Avi for President!

To enter, just leave a comment below about any NICE, GOOD, POSITIVE example of politics. It can be a leader you admire, a wonderful outcome that came about through the political process. Something not divisive, not horrible, not partisan.  I hope to draw the raffle Oct 20.

( I can’t wait to see a list of positive stories. I think my soul needs this!)

Here is the book description: Avi is a leader, so he’s sure he’ll be elected class president. But then his friend Yoni joins the race! Rebbe Gold warns Avi and Yoni not to say mean things about each other during their campaign, and the boys promise not to. But it’s a hard promise to keep as election fever heats up…

(It’s on amazon as well, but it’s much more affordable at the publisher’s site.)

(Israeli friends: Would love for you to participate in the raffle! Israeli politics count, too. But I can only mail the winning book to a US mailing address; please keep that in mind.)

  1. Your book conveys such an important message.
There were two episodes of the program 60 Minutes that showed people in the U.S. on both sides of the political spectrum having real dialogue and more importantly being engaged listeners. Hopefully that is the future of the political process.

  2. Avi is the name of my granddaughter’s Special Friend; at least for now, that is his designation. Should he make his way into our family, I believe the Presidential election for Avi would signal a return to good manners, decency, kindness, IF he decided to run for President. He impressed me as being totally rational, which is why Avi likely will stay out of politics.

  3. The fact that we get to vote for president gives us all a voice. We all get to be part of the decisions that effect all our lives.

  4. It looks great. My sons would love it. It would show and prove to them that if you put your mind to it you can accomplish a lot and never give up

  5. I appreciate you give some of us this amazing gift of a good jewish book for our kids, and for those who dont win the raffle, there´s still the amazing possibility to buy it. Thanks again for all your work.

  6. With the lack of role models in politics today, it’s so nice to see a book come out with an positive example. Thanks also for all the coloring sheets – our family loves them!

  7. Thank you for always offering the free printables which I share with my hebrew school students!
