Andy Rocks

By Ann D. Koffsky

Andy liked to make pictures for his friends.

But one day, they couldn’t visit.

“Share them on-screen,” his Mom suggested.

It wasn’t the same.

So Andy went to play outside.

    Kick…

                     Kick…

                                  Kick…

Andy stared at the rock. Was it staring back?

He grabbed it, rushed inside, and drew the rock’s face.

He got another rock and drew on that, too.

And another.

Then, Andy placed a rock in front of every home.

The next time Andy went to play outside…

“You found my rock!” called Zach.

Your rock?”

“Yes. We’re all making rocks, too!”

Andy looked up and saw that the streets full of friends, sharing rocks.

And he picked up another and ran to find his paints.
